We’re excited to share how our wines performed, at the 2024 Australian & New Zealand Boutique Wine Awards. With a record 815 entries this year, it was one of the biggest and most competitive events yet. Led by Toni Paterson MW and a panel of top wine experts, we were proud to be part of such a prestigious group of winners. It’s an honour to see our wines recognised in this fantastic competition!

Trophy for best riesling
(class 2)

"Shines with bright apple and citrus blossom aromas, offering a beautifully balanced palate with mineral acidity and refreshing lemon granita flavors. The wine has excellent drive and length, with vibrant lemon and lime notes and a juicy, concentrated lime juice palate. The acid line is super fresh and long, providing great structure and support throughout."

Gold medal, red blends (Class 17)
'St Pat's rock' reserve cabernet sauvignon shiraz

"Features ripe red and black berry flavours with a dense palate and supportive oak. It has a lovely balance of plum and cherry fruit, complemented by a touch of nutmeg spice and a hint of leafy complexity. The wine's structure is solid, though it shows a bright, pointy acidity on the finish."

silver medal, cabernet sauvignon (Class 13)
'Ballycapple' Cabernet Sauvignon

"Delivers a fresh, silky palate with vibrant plum and blackberry fruit, complemented by a nice integration of oak. The wine shows good concentration and flow, with hints of red fruits like cranberry and raspberry, and subtle notes of cedar and nutmeg. It’s a well-balanced, restrained wine with expressive length and a smooth finish."

Bronze medal, riesling (Class 2)
'Pride of erin' reserve riesling

"Presents aromas of orange skin and Meyer lemon, with a nice intensity of fruit. The wine is well-balanced but lacks a bit of drive. It leans towards a warmer, riper fruit profile, featuring yellow and tinned fruit notes. The palate is full-flavored with good acid carry and a fresh, chalky finish. Aromatic florals and tropical fruits add complexity, and the fruit sits nicely under the phenolics and acid."

Gold medal, other reds (Class 15)
'Shamrock' malbec

"A complex and intriguing profile, with dark cherry, bramble fruit, and hints of violets, boysenberry, and dark chocolate. The palate is balanced, featuring savory red berry flavors, fine tannins, and a touch of earthy spice. Subtle oak influence and a fresh, structured finish round out this impressive wine."

Bronze medal, Shiraz | Syrah (Class 12)
'Blarney stone' shiraz

"A savoury core with a dusty cedar oak influence on the palate. While it has good medium density and a clean purple fruit aroma, the fruit expression feels somewhat dulled, lacking freshness, and the finish is a bit firm and shortened. The wine has beautiful concentration, power, and length, but further development could elevate it for higher scores."

Bronze medal, rose (Class 9)
'Celtic cross' cabernets rose

"Delicate fruit pastels and a forward fruit sweetness, complemented by a touch of added acid. It is clean and well put together, with a pale pink hue and floral, strawberry aromas. The wine has a sweet finish and a lifted floral lift, with a slight fizz adding to its freshness. The right balance of green notes keeps it vibrant and refreshing."
