I was born in the remarkable wine year of 1955, but it was at Tooheys Brewery, of all places, that my passion for wine truly began. That was 45 years ago and while my primary focus back then was promoting beer, my first boss and mentor had a deep appreciation for fine art and fine wine. It certainly helped that Tooheys owned the renowned Wynns and Seaview Wineries. I followed their journey through various takeovers, eventually choosing to settle in South Australia with Orlando Wines.

 

Wine has allowed me to travel the world, explore diverse regions, and for over two decades, allowed me to co-found and co-own Neagles Rock Vineyards in the Clare Valley. Those 26 years as a hands-on vigneron and vintner taught me invaluable lessons about this wonderful life. Now, for health and personal reasons, I am focusing on crafting small batches of fine wines that showcase the exceptional styles and varieties that the Clare Valley does so well.
