Generous and luscious, the 2015 Malbec grapes cried out for something a little extra from my usual, a bit more new oak.
Fermented in static fermenters and pumped over 3 times daily for 10 days. Matured in new and older French Oak for 24 months.
Colour – Rich purple with shimmers of red in the light.
Aroma – Christmas pudding and mocha aromas entice you to sip this wine.
Palate – Intense and brooding the powerful blackberry, raspberry and chocolate fruit characters are brought together by the tannins from the French Oak and extra time in barrel. Rich and luscious.
Drink it with anything from seafood to rich casseroles. Very versatile.
Aging Potential 7-10 years
