Gallic or French Connection, the Gauls were part of the Celtic races and so this Bordeaux blend of varieties should be named after my ‘cousins’.
A potpourri of berry fruit flavours combined with fine tannins from 100% French Oak makes an excellent food wine. Matured in oak for 22 months before final blending it’s 40% Cabernet and 30% each of Malbec and Merlot.
Colour – Rich red and purple.
Aroma – Fragrant berry and musk with some obvious cedar oak.
Palate – Just a great combination of all good things that these 3 varieties offer. Luscious ripe berries with dusty, savoury and some nutty flavours.
Superb with any cuisine.
