One of the classic blends from the Clare Valley and in this fine vintage I think this wine will be very seriously taken. A final blend of 85% Cabernet and 15% Malbec, both wines are kept separate in French Oak until final blend selection after 22 months.
Colour – Rich purple.
Aroma – Blackcurrent and cherry with some nice cedar oak lift.
Palate – Another powerful wine from this excellent vintage. A complex wine with so many fruit characteristics, I will only list a few and let you find the rest. Sweet blackberry and cassis balanced by black cherry, olive and coconut.
Very fine tannins from the blend of varieties and choice of mainly Tronçais oak.
Just enjoy with anything or nothing.
Aging Potential 5-10 years
