My favourite Aussie blend and one I look forward to each year. The 2015 vintage made this even easier.
A blend of 51% Cabernet and 49% Shiraz the wine was aged separately in French Oak before blending and bottling after 22 months.
Colour – Red to purple shows the strength of this wine.
Aroma – Lifted blackberry and strong peppery notes.
Palate – A blockbuster with rich Christmas pud characters, brandy and all. Really a well balanced wine with the strong oak tannins bringing the wine altogether with so many fruit characters to list.
Drink with beef, lamb, duck or game meats in all forms.
