2014 was an elegant year for Cabernet Sauvignon. Intense fruit aged for 22 months in 100% mixed French Oak.
Colour – Blackish deep purple.
Aroma – Rich and intense blackberry, blackcurrent and cedar nose.
Palate – An elegant Cabernet but still full of cassis, blackberry and black olive flavours. The fine French Oak tannins combines with the fruit tannins to give a well constructed wine of generous elegance.
Drink with fatty chops from the BBQ to rich casseroles of lamb shanks and Osso Bucco. Irish stew a beauty to have it with.
‘Ballycapple’ was the home of my Kennedy relatives in Tipperary and the seat of the Kennedy Clan.
