Cabernet and Shiraz is still my favourite blend and so typical of what is good about Australian red wine grapes. This blend shows the rich berry fruits of Cabernet balanced with the black pepper and cloves spices of Shiraz with a grippy finish that allows you to savour this wine. Aged in French and American Barriques before final blending.
Aroma Powerful and opulent cassis and black pepper with a distinct nuttiness from the oak.
Palate As if the deep colour does not give it away this wine is a bold style. The rich blackberry and blackcurrant palate with the intense spiciness does.A big rich wine with powerful tannins on the finish which will linger for a long time.Just drink it with or without food.
